When you place an order with us or access your account information, we use industry leading secure server software (SSL) which digitally encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Further, any and all customer data we collect is securely protected against any unauthorized access.

After you make a selection on our web-site and the " Submit " button is pressed, you are transferred to the encrypted transaction screen. At which point you will see the following message :

You are about to conduct a secure real-time credit card transaction which will be authorized by your Bank. Please stay connected to our site as your bank will issue you an authorization number and we will provide an electronic receipt you can print for your records. To ensure privacy, your credit card number is NOT kept on our system nor transmitted to the merchant.

Authorization of your credit card will take approximately 5 to 10 seconds (depending on your Internet connection). Netscape users will see a closed padlock on the toolbar when encryption security (SSL) is activated. Microsoft Internet Explorer users will see a closed padlock icon in the lower right hand corner. FireFox users will see a closed padlock in the bottom right hand corner of their browser window. All web browsers will show the url of the page beginning with https:// - this ensures a secure and encrypted link.

From this point on in the transaction, all information provided is fully secured by SSL and Beanstream.

This is a 3 or 4 digit value that appears on the signature stripe on the back of credit cards. It is intended to confirm that the buyer has the physical card in their possession at the time they are completing the purchase - another security standard.

Secure Web Server
Beanstream employs redundant Servers using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption for the secure exchange of data between your customers and the Beanstream Payment Engine. The system supports both 40bit and 128bit SSL encryption on virtually all browsers.

Firewall
The Beanstream transaction system resides behind a dedicated Firewall running on redundant servers utilizing co-location facilities. This protects the transaction system and the data passing through.

No Transmitted Credit Card Numbers
The nature of the Beanstream system means that you never need to ask your clients for their credit card information. Only Beanstream receives this information. Canadapets does not engage in any unsolicited email whatsoever.  From the time of order placement through our service to the time of product delivery you will receive only 2 e-mails.  One will be an Order Confirmation to let you know that we received your order and have processed it on your behalf.   The second e-mail sent will be to inform you of your shipment tracking information which allows you to actually track the order online or over the telephone in real-time - right to your door.  We do not retain a "Mailing List" or send out occasional "Specials" mailers of any kind - unlike the vast majority of our competition.  Nor do we divulge any information collected on a client to any other source.
